My Bio
Stelios Karalis was born in Athens, Greece in 1998. He has studied Physics at the University of Athens and will soon start a MSc degree in Physics at the University of Copenhagen. He took up photography as a hobby in the summer of 2016. His other pastime activities include music, guitar playing, hiking and traveling.
Last weekend I was on an anual excursion carried out by the Amateur Astronomy Societies of Greece. It's an event that attracts a wide variety of people of all ages and interests from general public to hobbyist or professional astronomers. It's a two night free camping at mountains that are very far from big cities so light pollution is avoided. Flashlights and torches are not allowed during night time because even the slightest light could ruin the work of deep sky astrophotographers and scientists that carry out measurements. I had the chance to try my skills in astrophotography. I could not try light painting due to the light restriction. My camera is certainly not the best at low light conditions, nevertheless, these are my best results from last weekend. I hope you enjoy!

Hello, everyone! I'm very happy to say that I have reached my first 100 watchers! I remember starting this profile in 2016, just when I finished high school. I was then active for a year or so, posting some photography content, and after that I had my main focus on my university studies. After a 6 year long break from photography and deviant art, I have returned back even more motivated. My recent work helped me nearly double my watchers in a month! I would like to thank every one of you for supporting me and my work. This is a period of huge changes in my life and I can only hope that I will manage to stay active for good. Last, but not least, even though I really enjoy watching your artworks I would really like to make this place feel more social to me.
